The idea that Jesus is the only way to the Father is pretty orthodox Christian belief. I would think even devout Mormons believe it. I don't think the word "bigot" is the right word to describe someone who believes Jesus is the only way or who believes certain groups are heretical. I mean, pretty much every Catholic thinks Protestantism is heresy, and vice versa. Many Christians think Mormonism is heresy, and I'm sure Mormons think the rest of us are into heresy. Are we all bigots for believing there is a such thing as heresy? Pretty much every major group teaches that if you don't have Jesus, you are not saved. Are they all bigoted then?
Most of us still get along despite our beliefs that the other person's religious beliefs are wrong or heretical. I've never met a Jew or a Mormon or a Catholic or any other person that I couldn't get along with and enjoy their company. I don't see them as any less of a person than me just because they might be wrong about some religious issue. I don't think believing another person's beliefs to be heresy means they are a bigot.
"Anyway, I think Romney is a good guy but I'm wondering what exactly his beliefs are now. He doesn't believe in salvation by Christ alone?" Of course, he doesn't. Mormons do not believe that.
It is useless to be a good guy if you reject the truth. God doesn't respect nice guys who hate Him and what His only begotten Son did for men and women there on that cross.
I understand that preaching is foolishness to the world. I understand that most are meant to reject it. I understand that I'm not to keep silent just because most of the planet mocks what I'm saying right now. I mock your evolution. I mock your humanist psychology. Why? Because God mocks all of that stuff.

Senate candidate Mitt Romney of Utah says a prominent Baptist minister shouldn't be giving the prayer that opens the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem because he's a "religious bigot." In a tweet Sunday night, the former Massachusetts governor and 2012 Republican presidential nominee criticized Dallas minister Robert Jeffress for his remarks about Jews, Mormons and Islam. Romney said, "Robert Jeffress says 'you can't be saved by being a Jew,' and 'Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell.' He's said the same about Islam."
Mormonism is a heresy from the pit of hell. (For example, Jesus is not a spirit brother of Satan as Mormonism teaches. Jesus is not a created being at all; He is God.) Just because Romney disagrees does not make Jeffress wrong. It makes Romney a heretic.
According to Mitt Romney I am a religious bigot because I believe Jesus when He said "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life and no one comes to the Father but by me." John 14:6
Christianity has become what created it. Jeffress is the type of Christian who would feed a Jew to a lion because he thinks their beliefs are wrong. Do you know why the romans killed the christians? For a surprisingly similar reason. They didn't believe in the roman pantheon, they were "heretics."
