Signs of the Times:

Ill Symbols in Advertisements, Nike

Here is more suspect symbology from the advertising industry. (We are all a part of that industry, aren't we? Whether from the building or consuming side..) Sometimes it feels like a losing battle to point out these things. But we will stay encouraged.

Below is a 1999 Nike ad from Sports Illustrated.

This advert attempts to draw a line between the steady footing of mountain goats and your performance while running around the neighborhood.. after lacing up these athletic shoes, that is. Looks pretty simple at first glance..

Except that this symbology follows a well-established path. Commentary lifted from www.jesus-is-savior.com:

The goat and ram head are greatly revered in Satanism and witchcraft; a mockery of the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ.

Paul McCartney of the Beatles fondles a ram. Understand that he and many others in entertainment at high levels know exactly what they are doing. They know you do NOT know. They know you are drunk with their talent, and will ignore the symbols and outright blasphemy in their imagery and lyrics.

Below: Advert for alcohol. That wicked liquid.

The man in the whisky ad displays the popular "Baphomet" horned salute with one hand. This symbol is so widespread that most of us think nothing of it. But it is a signal of rebellion.
