Philippians *4:12 and 4:13
The world, and professing Christians who want the world to like them, love to speak and post Philippians 4:13. But they almost never quote the verse before that. Verse 12: "whether I abound or am abased."
Paul was in jail while writing this. Are the people who usually speak Philippians 4:13 thinking about being content even if they were cast into prison? No. They're thinking about God blessing them in something they want or that they want to do.
