Most of the rap songs and artists are set up as rebels of some type. The same or sister spirit to rock and roll.
Think of all the songs where someone sang about "I was wrong" or such. You probably cannot think of many pop songs that say that. Why? Because the spirit of rap, rock and most other popular songs is that of blaming others. Eminem blaming his mom and dad and ex-wife for example... Then they want to call the Christian who reproves, a hypocrite and judgmental? That's what rebels do.
