Transubstantiation is a fancy word for "cookie god."
Does the Lord Jesus Christ need to be "eaten" every week? Do we need to see him crucified over and over and over again?
Of course, biblically, the answer is No.
The Roman Catholic religious organization lies to you and me.
What they don't tell you is that the organization which they call a church believes that eating that wafer equals eating the LITERAL flesh of Christ. It is not symbolic as in the Bible. Jesus spoke in a symbolic way.
The Catholic Church, led by a succession of antichrist Popes, makes it a literal eating of His flesh and drinking of His blood.
